| Mike Ridley is a Michigan
based artist whose brand of entertainment combines music and humor. His Michigan
oriented parodies have been a staple of morning radio all through the state and
his original music has been featured on Michigan Public Radio and Television.
Songs
from his first CD "Attitude Check" became regular fodder on radio morning
shows across the country during the 1990's. His second CD "One of a Kind"
included a holiday chart single "Christmas in the Country" and another
single, "Michigan Man" which was nominated as the state song in 2000.
This versatile performer was named Detroit Metro Times "Comic of the Year"
in 1995 while an independent single "Opening Day," released in 1991,
landed him an Honorary Lifetime Membership in the Baseball Hall of Fame in
Cooperstown, NY.
His third recording, a five song EP of Christmas music,
"What to Buy Jesus for Christmas" was released in December of 2005.
In July of 2006 he released his long awaited live CD, " A Guy Walks Into
a Bar" featuring his parodies, novelty songs and his patented interactive
crowd pleasers. This latest CD was put on rotation on XM Radio's comedy channels.
He has been the opening act for national music names such as Neil Young, The Doobie
Brothers, Carol King, The Beach Boys, Tanya Tucker, Cheap Trick, The Pointer Sisters
and many more. He has worked with comic acts such as Elayne Boosler, Richard
Lewis,Tim Allen and NBC's "Last Comic Standing," John Heffron.
We are lucky to have Mike in a consulting role with young artists. Over twenty-five
years in the music and entertainment industry there isn't too much that Mike hasn't
seen. His focus with Artist Management is working with Christian music artists
